The  dramatic coloratura Marietta Sarri holds the degrees of Specialist in  Harmony and Piano, as well as the Diploma in Monody. She made her debut  in the framework of the Musical Theatre Workshop of the Municipal  Theater of Patras. She has attended singing and performance  masterclasses with Chr. Marinos, D. Tiliakos, T. Christogiannopoulos, R.  Basso, A. Cavallaro, D. Yaka, Th. Moser, M. Mills, K. Armstrong, A.  Raciti, Gr. Araya and has studied with J. Williams, M. Mills and S.  Winter. In Greece, she has studied with G.Iatrou, I.Forti, M.Margaritis,  F.Kostopoulou, S.Kyanidou and V.  Finally, she has studied Early Music  with M.Chryssicos and Jazz Music with S. Syrros. She has participated in  international institutions such as the Hans Gabor Belvedere  International Singing Competition (2018, semi-finals), Lotte Lehmann  Akademie (2019, full scholarship) and Vincerò International Singing  Competition (2021, finals). She has worked with directors such as A.  Efklidis, D. Dimopoulos, N. Filosoglou, A. Pilavachi, Nina Kühner, Th.  N. Kalavrianos, M. Gyparaki and conductors such as Th. Antoniou, M.  Logiadis, D. Grammenos, M. Papapetrou and others.

He lives and works in Athens, where he participates in  concerts and performances (Olympia Municipal Theatre and National Opera  House), while since 2023 he has been collaborating with M. Souri in the  context of the Duo Amorsima.

Marilena Souri

Pianist

Marilena  Souri was born in Patras, Greece. She received a Master’s Degree (MA  Piano Performance) from LUCA School of Arts/Lemmensinstuut in Leuven,  Belgium under the guidance of the renowned pianist Alan Weiss. Since  February 2020, she has been working as the accompanist of the Children  choir of the Greek National Opera (chorus mistress: Konstantina  Pitsiakou).

Her artistic activity includes performances with  orchestra - LUCA Chamber Orchestra and Athens Sinfonietta under the  baton of Michel Tilkin and George Aravidis respectively, solo recitals  and concerts with  various chamber music ensembles in Greece, Russia,  Belgium, the Nederlands, Portugal, Romania, as well as  participation in  festivals (Open Day - Stegi Onassis Foundation, Patras International  festival, International Classical Music Festival of Cyclades). Since  2023, she has been collaborating with Marietta Sarri in the context of  duo Amorsima.

She has developed her skills in correpetion and  accompaniment during a 2 year course in the Opera Studio of  Patras  Municipal Theatre in collaboration with The Beggars’ Operas  (instr.Kharálampos Goyós, 2013 – 2014). She worked as a music coach in  T. Sakellaridis’s ‘Daughter of the Storm’ (The Beggars’ Operas, 2013)  and ‘Satanerie’ (Patras Municipal Theatre – The Beggars’ Operas, 2014).  During season 2014 / 2015, she participated in ‘Snow Queen’ – an opera  for children by Theo Abazis (Patras Municipal Theatre, Stegi Onassis  foundation).

She had previously studied with Agathe Leimoni, with  whom she received Piano Diplomas from Schola Cantorum de Paris and  Hellenic Conservatory of Athens. She has actively participated in  masterclasses with renowned soloists and professors such as Konstantin  Ganev, Julia Ganeva, Acquiles Delle Vigne, France Clidat, Lilia  Boyadjieva, Ian Jones, to name a few. She also participated in academies  such as Primavera Pianistica/Belgium, Poros International Piano  Academy/Greece, Music Village/ Pelion, Greece.

In 2009, she started having harpsichord lessons with  Markellos Chryssikos. As a harpsichordist, she has performed with  Armonia Atenea, Athens State Orchestra, as well as with numerous early  music ensembles.

In 2018, she was awarded the ‘Mykoniou’ Prize of the Academy of Athens (Order of Letters and Fine Arts).
