Baritone Soowon Han completed his bachelor's degree at Hanyang University in Seoul with Prof. Locky Chung. In 2016 he completed his musical training at the Center de Musique Baroque de Versailles (CMBV) in France. Soowon Han completed his bachelor's degree in 2017 as the best in his course. From 2019 to 2023, Soowon Han studied in the master's program in song/concert and opera with Prof. Raimund Nolte at the Cologne University of Music and Dance, Aachen. He is currently completing his concert exams in Detmold with Prof. Gerhild Romberger. He completed master courses with Philippe Herreweghe, Peter Kooij, Dorothea Wirtz, Pauliina Tukiainen and Manuel Lange. During his studies he took part in various concerts, oratorios and opera productions inside and outside the university. This is how he sang Dr. Falke from the opera "Fledermaus", Minskman from the opera "Flight" in the Aachen Theater, the bass part in the "Mass in B minor" by J. S. Bach, "The Creation" by J. Haydn, and in "Messa da Requiem" by G. Verdi as well as numerous song programs. He has sung under well-known conductors such as Frieder Bernius, Daniel Johannes Mayr, Dirk Kaftan and Philippe Herreweghe. He was a scholarship holder of the “City of Cologne Foundations for the Promotion of Music Study” (Stiftungen der Stadt Köln zur Förderung des Musikstudiums) and the “Richard Wagner Scholarship Foundation” (Richard-Wagner-Stipendienstiftung). He won 2nd prize at the 6th Brigitte Kempen Competition 2021 in Aachen. Soowon Han was in the 2021/22 season a scholarship holder and academic member at the Choir Academy of the WDR Broadcasting Choir. In 2023, the Korean baritone made his debut at the Bonn Opera in the operas “Rigoletto” and “Moses and Aron”.
Sung Won Lee
Pianist
Sung Won, Lee a Korean music student. He began learning piano at the age of 15 after graduating from the Art High School (Kyungki) in Korea. He completed his bachelor's degree at the Detmold University of Music with Prof. Jacob Leuschner. As part of his bachelor's degree, he took song design as an elective subject and received the special prize as best pianist at the Alumni/GFF Lied Duo Competition (2020). In addition, he was also a semi-finalist at the International Schubert Competition Dortmund in 2023 and received the Alumni/GFF Prize at the Alumni/GFF Lied Duo Competition (2023). In October 2022, he performed with his partner Manaka Taniguchi as the duo AnReaL at the WDR 3 campus concert, whose performance was broadcast on radio in February 2023. A duo concert in the Bergkirche is planned for 2024. Since the summer semester of 2022, he began his master's degree in piano song design with Prof. Manuel Lange with great interest and from the summer semester of 2023 he will be studying the master's degree in piano chamber music with Professor Rinko Hama. Since 2022 he has also been working as an accompanist in the class of Prof. Gerhild Romberger (vocals) and Prof. Klemens Sander (vocals).
