Eleni Müller

Cultural manager and soprano. Initiator of the Lied Competition "Bolko von Hochberg"

Germany, Poland and Greece

Eleni Ioannidou (now Eleni Müller) is a Greek-Polish soprano, cultural manager, and author with a versatile artistic profile. Born in Wrocław (formerly Breslau) as the daughter of a Greek father and a Polish mother, she grew up mainly in Greece. There she studied agricultural sciences and singing in parallel. She later deepened her vocal training with a two-year course in opera singing at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna as well as at the renowned Accademia della Scala in Milan.

Her career first took her to Munich, where she not only performed as a singer but also organized concerts. For several years now, Eleni Ioannidou has lived in Görlitz with her husband, the musician and sound engineer Heinz Müller. There she is intensively involved in the revitalization of the regional music culture.

Together they founded the cultural association Ars Augusta, which is dedicated to promoting culture and international understanding. Eleni Müller established the Lausitz Baroque Ensemble, consisting of German and Polish professional musicians, which brings forgotten works from the region back to performance. She regularly appears as a soprano, hosts concerts, and serves as a juror at international singing competitions, such as the “Ars & Gloria” competition in Katowice.

In addition, she is active as an author and advocates for cultural exchange in the German-Polish border region.
