About Görlitz
Germany's most beautiful city – A paradise for culture and history
Görlitz, Germany's easternmost city, situated directly on the Polish border, is a true gem with over 4,000 listed buildings spanning Gothic, Renaissance, Baroque, and Art Nouveau periods. Often referred to as "Görliwood," it has served as a backdrop for films like "The Grand Budapest Hotel"—a place where history comes alive. Surrounded by picturesque landscapes and the Neisse River, Görlitz offers a perfect blend of urban flair and nature. Ideal for musicians: tranquil parks and cultural events (such as the Gerhart Hauptmann Theatre) inspire creativity, and its proximity to Poland makes a stay in this city exciting and enriching!

GETTING TO GÖRLITZ BY BUS AND TRAIN
Görlitz is located directly on the A4 motorway and has a train station and a bus station (e.g., with a Flixbus stop). You can reach Görlitz by train from Berlin (3 hours with a change in Cottbus or Dresden) – from Dresden (direct) and Zittau (direct). Travelers from Vienna can take a bus or train to Liberec. From Liberec, there are train connections to Zittau and Görlitz.
FLIGHT
The nearest airports are WrocÅ‚aw International Airport (WRO), Berlin Brandenburg Airport (BER), and Dresden Airport (DRS). WrocÅ‚aw Airport is the most convenient option for us, as Jelenia Góra is closer to WrocÅ‚aw than to Berlin. A public bus runs from the airport to the train station (40 minutes). From there, there are regular train connections to Görlitz-Zgorzelec (1.40–2 hours journey) and Jelenia Góra (2.5 hours by train, 1.4 hours by Flixbus). Jelenia Góra can also be reached directly by train from Görlitz (1.4 hours).
