Practical Information for Participants

 

Welcome to Görlitz!

The historical Kaufhaus Görlitz (An der Frauenkirche 5-7) is a magnificent Art-Nouveau building from 1913. It is currently in need of renovation and therefore does not offer modern facilities such as toilets, dressing rooms or practice rooms. We have organised comfortable alternatives in the immediate vicinity so you can focus entirely on your performances.

Venue & Stage Entrance

• Kaufhaus Görlitz – First Round An der Frauenkirche 5-7, 02826 Görlitz

• Stage entrance: Use the side entrance across from the Frauenkirche (clearly signposted during the competition).

• At the venue you will find the list where you can sign up for your rehearsal times.

Facilities & Warm-up

• Warm-up rooms & Garderobes (with toilets): Sabine Wagner Studio – Elisabethstraße 7 (2 minutes walk)

• Public toilets: City-Center Görlitz – directly across from the Kaufhaus (An der Frauenkirche 8–12)

Practice Rooms

• Musikschule Johann Adam Hiller – Fischmarkt 6

• Ars Augusta e.V. – Augustastraße 6 (with piano and small salon)
